From picking up furniture from evicted tenants to selling vintage clothing outside a local flea market, Simon and K have their hands full. Not only do they battle the hustle and bustle of the city, but they also navigate friendships, relationships, and family issues—all while taking on corrupt politicians and shady landlords.
Throughout the series, viewers are introduced to a variety of real-life Chicago residents, providing an authentic look at what it’s really like to live on the South Side. Our main characters also struggle with police brutality and gentrification as they attempt to make their dreams a reality—all while staying true to who they are and where they come from.
South Side is funny, touching, and an all-around great watch.
