HBO Original Drama Series 'The Last of Us' Episode 2 Sees Record-Breaking Audience Increase of 22%
The second episode of HBO's THE LAST OF US saw a 22% increase in viewership from its series debut, with 5.7 million viewers tuning in across HBO and linear telecasts in the U.S.
This marks the largest week 2 audience growth for an HBO Original drama series in the network's history. After one full week of availability, Episode 1 is now tracking at 18 million viewers, a nearly fourfold increase from its premiere night audience.To further engage fans, HBO Max has launched a spotlight page for THE LAST OF US, featuring behind-the-scenes content and access to the companion podcast, as well as an interactive flashlight to help viewers find their next series to watch.
The spotlight page also showcases a selection of movies and series from 2003, the year the life-altering outbreak occurred in the series. New episodes of THE LAST OF US air each Sunday at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and are available to stream on HBO Max, leading up to the finale on March 12.
