The Plot

The empathetic and astute Chief Inspector Armand Gamache is tasked with solving a number of mysterious and perplexing murders in the strange-but-beguiling village of Three Pines. Assisted by his trusted team, Gamache and his group are initially treated suspiciously by the village’s residents. The deeper Gamache delves into the secret lives of these people who have found sanctuary from the outside world, the more it affects him.

Season 1 Episode Guide

Episodes 5 & 6: "The Murder Stone" - A beloved figure in Three Pines is found dead, and the investigation reveals deep-seated resentments within the community.
Episodes 7 & 8: "The Hangman" - While investigating a new murder, Gamache is forced to confront a dark secret from his own past that threatens his career.

Despite positive reviews, Prime Video officially canceled Three Pines after its first season in early 2023. There are currently no plans for a second season.
