BBC Studios
BBC Studios was created as a commercial production company in 2017. It took its present form in 2018, with the merger of two existing BBC subsidiaries, bringing together the BBC’s award-winning former in-house production arm with 100 years of content-making experience, and BBC Worldwide, which oversaw the successful global distribution and exploitation of programs and brands from the BBC, and many in the wider UK independent production sector.
